I used Paul's company to paint my family home in Barrington. The home was built about 1898. We had been having trouble with paint lasting and not peeling after two years of a professional paint job. The last company we used before Paul even brought in a manufacturer's representative of the Benjamin Moore paint company to get their opinion on why we were having difficulty. The remediation they suggested did not work. When we had to have it repainted I chose Paul. He started the job and while working on the house came up with a suggestion and put much effort into solving this problem. Paul was courteous, reliable, neat and efficient. It has been over two and a half years and the house looks great! This is something our last three professional painters were not able to accomplish. Quality Painting did an amazing job on our house and deck; spring 2012. We had lead paint and it was chipping. We were hoping to find a painter that would be very cautious about the lead since we have small children. Paul and his helper were great. They had a tool that shaved the old paint right off and it went directly into a vacuum. They went right down to the wood, so the new paint really took to the surface and looked very clean. Paul and his helper always arrived early in the morning and took the extra time to clean up when the work day was done. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done just perfectly. I am writing this letter of recommendation for Paul Abreu of Quality Painting. Paul recently scraped, sanded and painted my house and garage. He and his helper, Genua, were meticulous in their work. They worked diligently and took pride in what they did. They worked 8 to 10 hours every day, and when they were finished for the day they picked up wonderfully. Each day they would take down the drain pipes on the side where they were working and put them up at the end of the day. I have never seen this done before--most painters leave the drain pipes down the whole time.

I have had my 100 year old house painted many times, but this was the first time I choose to have it taken down to the bare wood. Paul and his helper amazed us and everyone on our street on the job they did. I have many friends that I know will call Paul when they need to get their house done. I got 4 quotes for painting my house, and Paul matched the lowest quote. You can obviously see my wife and I were pleased with the work.

I was involved in education for 36 years with the last 10 years as principal of Joseph Case High School in Swansea, Ma. so I have met alot of people in my life. Paul and Genua are as professional, friendly, and dedicated to their work as anyone I know.

What was painted: All trim 3 Bedrooms Hallway Dining room Sitting room The trim was finished wood stain that was painted white: 4 sliding closet doors 9 hinge doors 7 windows Door frames and all baseboard Stair skirt and 3 risers Paul was meticulous in his detail about painting and used oil paint for the trim which came out fantastic. The new paint really transformed our home and Paul was communicative and filled us in on every step he was doing and why. Really helpful as I had to paint quarter round a couple weeks later for new flooring and the oil really worked well on the wood trim we added. Quality painting is awesome! If you want top knotch, efficient, clean and quality work they are the best. We are extremely happy and would hire them again for any of our future painting needs. For example, we hired a less expensive contractor last year and they did not vacuum lint and also painted over it. Less expensive, but poorer quality. That is not so with Quality painters however, they began the project by and they are by taking one day to vacuum and sand walls before even starting to paint. They did a great job, Superb Quality!
